I've learned

I've loved him from the day we met
it's all my fault he's gone
we're too far apart now
it's already been too long

i knew i appreciated him
when what happened did
i thought i was too young
too much of a kid

instead i ended up hurting him
he saw me in a new light
he thought i was wrong
now i know he's right

i wonder if it had been different
if he'd still of loved me
did it happen for a reason
was it meant to be

i don't deserve him anyway
i treated him really bad
he is so special to me
and i threw away what we had

now I've learned from my mistakes
now i finally see
stick with the people you love
and don't wake up lonely
