The end

I had a dream last night,
i dreamed of a girl.
she reminded me of someone,
i just cant think who.
i will tell you about her all the same,
her life was full of sorrow, grief and pain.
she saw past the sunshine, only recognized night,
her days were pure gloom, and void of all light.
she had no-one to love her, no-one to care,
so why this so-called life did she have to bear?
no-one would miss her, no-one would cry,
the easiest thing would be to lie down and die.
from this option she had nothing to gain,
she would only lose, but what she would lose,
is what causes the pain.
she\'d lose the loneliness, the darkness, the sorrow, the cold,
and this is a story repeatedly told,
to pick up the blade and one repetitive swipe,
a huge loss of blood, no fuss, no hype,
free from all the weight and pain in life,
all from a few quick slices of the knife.

i know now who this girl seems to be,
she reminds me so much, yet so little, of me.
for she is brave and i am weak,
i don't have the courage, though my life's also bleak.
No!! she is weak and i am strong,
i am the the one willing to go on.
to fight the pain and misery,
and be the best that i can be.
i will not give in to that tempting knife,
i will fight for my dreams, for love, for life.
there's always someone out their to care,
someone who's so willing to share,
the life you've been denied so long,
so don't give up, keep fighting, be strong,
and soon your sunshine will sure come along.
