Rock Bottom

by Maisha   May 30, 2005

Frequently falling
Hit rock bottom I have
The light I'm supposed
To see-a pinprick in the darkness.

My sobs echo through
The night.
Regular intervals-
I feel a dreaded fright.

Of all the times
I need you now the most.
Why suddenly have
You forgotten?

I hope you see the
Pool of blood.
I hope you see
The smile on my face.

I hope you know it
Was all your fault.
Your words penetrated
My skin as much as my razor.

Slowly the life drains
From me-the memories flood
My mind. The ones I
Expected did not appear
All I see are the happy ones.

They pour through
My mind as
The words tumble
From my lips.

Why do you give
Me so much pleasure?
But yet give me
Too much pain.

Though now I'm gone
And slowly I went,
I will wait for you,
At the fiery gates of Hell.

A really good poem ish, but for structure, just try to keep a certain amount of lines, more of a pattern. Great concept though.
