Thank You!

You've been to hell and back in your lifetime,
Though times you've struggled,
And you've sometimes fallen,
You're human after all,
And you've come back on top.
You work so hard from day till night,
To please everybody in this household,
From washing our dirty laundry, to cooking the meals every night.
I feel your efforts have gone unnoticed far too long.
As well as being a full time mother with the daily chores,
You're always there if I need a hug,
Or the pressures my life is bringing is too much.
When he talks to you like he does sometimes,
When I hear you arguing with him,
When I hear you cry because of him,
An anger inside me grows.
I want to shout at him back,
Telling him to treat you with the respect you deserve,
You're the one who does his washing,
Keeps the house clean,
Provides him with the meals.
I appreciate everything you've ever done,
From your words of advice,
To your words of comfort.
When I become a mother,
I hope my kids look up to me,
The way I look up to you.
As corny as it sounds, you're a truly amazing person,
And somebody I admire.

*Dedicated to my mum!! :-) thank you for all you've done!*
