3 P.M.

by Kristen   May 31, 2005

Here we go again,
To start off another year
To let me know you're in the clear
Back out at 3
You'll come home in the morning
And another apology is thrown my way
To let me know you'll be okay
But never again
Shall I let you in
I'll throw you out like an addiction
Down to a frown
Depressed with the incision that you left on your wrist
Heart ending catastrophes
Tear jerking events
Incising the things that were left unsaid
Like a box of empty heartache
Enough has been said
Complete interrogation without any of your consent
Followed through with a little tear
I feel sorry for you, my dear
Now the sky is crying too
And you run outside to play
You're not afraid you say
So you sing and dance in the rain
And now no one can see how hard you cry
And now it is five
No apology had yet to been said
No coming home in the morning,
Because she's already dead
3 P.M. she said
Where has it gone
Away like a butterfly
With its wings cut off
Singing a song,
But the radio gone
Dreaming of tomorrow
In a yesterday world
Looking in the mirror
And seeing the death of this girl
At 11:43
The air no longer was hers
Cause they pulled the plug
And said, "I'm done dealing with her!"
So goodbye my friend
You'll always be true
You're in my heart,
As I cry for you.
