Sometimes life just isn't fair

Sometimes you have to let go
Even if you don't want to
Sometimes it's the best thing you can offer in times of trouble

No one ever said that life was fair
You're not the only one, we've all been there
Once or twice, but who cares?

Life is one of the hardest things to go through
But love gets the award
You'd kill for it, cry for it, die for it

Even though it ends up leaving you oh so cold

But rarely it gives one in a million a break, not all of us have such luck in life and love

we all know what pain is and how we came to be this way
the only question we have in our minds to this day is

why?

why did it have to be this way?
why couldn't I have kept that last shread of happiness?

But with every award there comes a price

whether big or small, it's always there, the price to pay for winning over happiness

But sometimes, life just isn't fair
