The Haunting Feelings

The Haunting Feelings

These emotions visit my mind,
day by day.
I try to suppress them,
but to no avail.
Like a muzzled dog still biting.

These thoughts don’t leave,
and they become stronger,
more powerful than before.
With minds of their own,
they learn,
and they know what I can do

I fight these depressing sentiments,
And each day I win.
But there will be a day,
When the emotions escape.
Worse than bats out of hell,
They will break out.
Until then,
I fight the haunting feelings.
