A Lonely Death

I feel as if I have
fallen into a deep sleep
Abandoned, confused
It is dark
I hear a voice
but only in my head
Yet
I hear a different sound
coming closer
louder
danger is in the air
I run but yet to where?
They have come for me
To save me? I think not
I see swords glistening in the
moon light
red eyes all around me
I am sweating from panic
scream, run, no
I stand my ground
This may be a dream but I will fight
and conquer
Lighting a match I burn all
that my eyes can see
but this being a wrong step I
Find I am defeated, this is no dream
all is real
I leave with no record of living
All forget that I breath
No one will care that
I shall never wake up
