Lullaby( Her Tears Sing her to Sleep)

by Leah   Jun 1, 2005

Remember the forgotten,
a girl so left behind,
a girl without a problem,
so well behaved and refined.

But underneath her smiles,
nothing left remains,
just a pile of black dust,
and a past full of pain.

Sitting with her teddy,
a shiver not from cold,
but behind those tender eyes,
a screaming left untold.

In the bliss cold nigh,
she sees nothing but her pain,
she hears nothing but some footsteps,
walking through the rain.

Falling in such a sleep,
where she will not awake,
her body feels so cold,
and her mind is in an ache.

She listens to the lullaby,
ringing through her thoughtful ears,
she hears her past,
the music of her fears.

She sits upon a stool,
and shivers from her past,
the hits she took from her parents,
where so hateful and miscast.

She screams and she bleeds,
for these thoughts that make her weep,

She doesn\'t understand,
that her tears sing her to sleep.
