Taken

by FlowerThatDied   Jun 1, 2005

Took as many as there were I took them all
Waited for someone to come or call
Waited in limbo on the kitchen floor
Felt the pain in my stone, cold core
Relieved Id left my sorrows behind
I knew that you wouldn't mind
After all the hate boiled up in you
Id be like dirt under your shoe
Surrounding what I had done I knew you wouldn't care
I waited until someone wanted me there
But when they did it was too late
I died that night in their arms
Now to face my fate

I wish I hadn't left him there
But I couldn't stay weld up with guilt, full of care
As I tried to feel him again
Tried to reach for the light
But felt the push back into the real world
Let go of heaven and fell back down through the air, the night
And the I lay resuscitated and curled
That night I came through
But not because of you!
