Harmattan

by samuel   Jun 1, 2005

Harmattan is the dry season in Africa
In the North the mallams
Are covered in dust
Bowing their heads over
They tell the beads to Allah
The cattle are led south
Nearing the Sudan
Herdsmen will take no chances
The grass is greener there
And there is moist
While they wait for the rains
They must manage the available.
