Werewolf

by AynJal   Jun 1, 2005

Her dark, innocent eyes seek my own, looking for answers to what she is going through, but not alone
What can I tell her? She wants the truth. Something that only time will prove
What she is becoming she will never forgive me for
I can only say I'm sorry, nothing more
But I watch her with onyx pupils and an amber glow of fire
The thorns on a rose, the stem, entwined wires
She pleads for the pain to stop and to go away
And theres nothing I can do until the light of day
Where the sun will rise and freedom it seems, from this dark, painful nightmare to a pleasant dream
I hear her cry again once more
And watch the colored, sprouting fur
Cover her body and then hear her bones groan in agony
They snap and the pop into a new place
My insides and blood begins to shake, I see the blood dribble out her mouth, that lengthens until it has had enough
Long legs and large mitts pad across the floor
We both take on the change, I can see her in true form
She'll forgive when I tell her what this night was for.
