The Voices

by Jennifer Kepley   Oct 9, 2003

They voices said to do it.
They said it would be okay.
They said i would feel better,
If I bleed.
They said that no one cared.
They said I was alone.
They said the world was against me.
They said that if I told on them,
That I would be locked away for sure.
They said I would be laughed at and made fun of.
I dont want to be laughed at.
I dont want to be made fun of.
I dont want to listen to the voices
But they are the only ones who understand.
They know how I feel inside.
They know what I need.
They know what I want.
They help me with my problems.
They listen to me.
Nobody else can pay enough attention to me.
Nobody can listen to me.
They told me I will enjoy it.
They said I would get a rush.
They said that bleeding was kewl.
They said they understand.
They said nobody else can help me.
They told me to trust them.
So I did.
