Oh, That Dreaded Feeling Called Depression

by Satine   Jun 2, 2005

This was originally a poem, but I change it into a song kind of thing. So here it is:

Behind the smile, behind the laugh
A troubled girl exists
Trying hard to survive this world
Trying not to forget the way you look
Waiting for the moment I can see you again
I will, I promise

Chorus:
In this world love can hurt
This pain I have to consume
Some thing I wish I could modify
I can't deny, I can't defy
My future holds more sorrow
I don't want to see tomorrow
I only want to see you
To make sure you're real, to make sure you're true
Hoping its not a lie

Where'd you go
They took you away
Oh this pain I must consume
I hide behind this mask
Crying, dieing, wanting you to be here

Chorus

This rough current carries me away from shore
I just want to see you, love you, nothing more
To see your smile shine the way it used to
I wish I could erase what you have to go through

Chorus

Is this pain mandatory?
Must I go through with this everyday?
Well its worth it
Cause I'll see you again
I promise
Cross my heart, hoping its not a lie

That song, or poem or whatever you want to call it, is about my sisters who are currently living in California. I have not seen them in 3 years. They are 10 and 5.

I love you both so much.
