New Love

How do you know If you love someone?
I'm not talking about puppy love, but true love.
Through the years I have been confused,
Sometimes I think I'm in love, but I'm wrong.
Lately I have met a certain person,
I don't know much about her,
But... for some reason I feel different around her.
She makes me smile, laugh, and feel special,
I just don't know if it's just me or if she feels the same.
Is it because I've been lonely for so long?
I dunno, but it confuses me.
I held her in my arms and felt something I've never felt before,
Something different, but... good.
Did she feel the same? Or was it just me?
I'm afraid to say what I feel,
In fear of scaring her, but I want to tell her.
All of this confuses me, and I don't know what to do.
The dreams, laughs, smiles, and quiet moments felt so real,
Seems like a romantic dream come true.
Could this be a case of puppy love or true love?
Guess I won't know until I say what I feel.....
