Her paradise

by Ashley Daniels   Jun 3, 2005

Every night she goes through the
Same hell, night after night
Never knowing if she will awake
Bright and early in the morning

She takes in the beatings
Hoping they will end, o so soon
If she even lets out a tiny whimper
The horrible slaps will continue

Day after day she cuts herself
Hoping that during the night
The cuts will relive her pain

She always tries her hardest
Always tries her best
But her best is not good enough
Never, ever good enough for them

They criticize and torment her
Just because she cannot
Fulfill their horrific demands

But one of these days
She wont be able to take it no more
And she will finally leave her hell
That has enclosed her for so long

Her heaven will be a place
Where no one will laugh or criticize her
Where they wont tell her to do
Things she cannot
Where no one screams at her
Whenever she messes up

It will be a place of paradise
For this sad girl
It will be where she will spend her time
With joy and laughter
Instead of screaming and hatred

She will finally be loved
Just like she has always hoped
For this will be her heaven
Her paradise…
