The cry

by Lor   Jun 3, 2005

I watch her crumble and start to cry
begging to God to let her die
Her bruises show all black and Grey
she whispers within her to get away
I see her tremble as she hears
the door handle click - her only fear
I feel her goosebumps on her skin
She's just waiting for the pain to begin
I hear her try to say it's OK
he'll be gone some other Day
for now she's too scared to live
she tells herself just to forgive
She quivers at the touch of his hand
she shakes as he yells you don't understand
she stutters as she cries it's only ME
she cowers as the only girl, dreaming to be free
soon it's stopped, the bruises will fade
But her loneliness will never change
sometimes a simple scratch will disappear
but a scar brings back everything too near
I hear her cry out is this love?'
i want her to die, to come up above
she, my angel, is always to strong
she deserves one place where she belongs
