My safety net

You spun a web around me in ways they'll never know
A web, a safety net in case I fall
It meant you'd hear me if I called
And just be there for me through it all
Do you know how alone I felt when you took it away?
How much effort it took to get up everyday
And keep the smile on my face
not reaching my eyes
Breathing carefully to mask the sighs
Without your web I slowly fell
gradually sinking into this hell
