Wishing Well

walked by a wishing well today
and kept walking by without a glance
But in my head I started to think
this could be my only chance
so without hesitation I stopped
I prayed with all my heart and soul
slowly my fingers trembled
as I threw my wishes down that hole
as I heard the water trickle
and later, my quarters splash
I prayed to God with all my heart,
that he'd make my wishes last
I guess he heard my loudest plea
Because he made my dream come true
He heard me wish at that well
