Dragon

by AynJal   Jun 3, 2005

Wings of onyx feathers
Beat the wind like a drum
I hear the rhythm coming near
When will we be one?

A shape of twisted shadows
Move across the black velvet sky
Glowing amber circles
Like burning fire eyes

The winged shape appears, darker then the night sky above
The stars are like raindrops surrounding the body
Majestic, full of life and death, full of love and fury

A half moon peeks out, from behind a cloud at night, I seek the fear and adrenaline rush that feels right
A dragon, clawed and ready to feed
Will miss my figure and continue to lead

It flys high above and lets out a shriek
It searches for me and lands at my feet.
It looks me deep in my own violet eyes
I look into fire, desperate and alone, it makes me want to cry
The tears well up inside
They fall and land and the dragon looks back up to the sky
