I wanna be young
Enjoy it while it lasts
I wanna stick out my tongue
And make everyone laugh

I wanna make mud pies
And play make believe
I wanna forget about guys
That'd be such a relief

I wanna wear pigtails
And roll in the grass
I wanna smoosh snails
& crack up at passing gas.

I wanna scrape my knees
On a bike that's unstable
I wanna fling peas
Across the kitchen table

I wanna be young
Enjoy it while it lasts
I wanna stick out my tongue
And make everyone laugh
