And wishes won’t solve anything cause they never do come true
Holding on despite the pain when you know her love is through
Will shatter your aching heart but babe I’m here for you

Remembering the promises she said but didn’t keep
Will send you into solitude; make all your cuts run deep
You can still recall the memories, but that is all they are
I just want you to smile because you’re my shining star

Whatever your decision, I’ll stay right by your side
You were there for me when I needed you most and in me you can confide
But to see you go through agony well, it hurts me too
But I love you for who you are and I’m always here for you

    I don't think you will
    ever fully understand
    how you've touched my life
    and made me who I am.

    I don't think you could ever know
    just how truly special you are

    I don't think you will ever fully comprehend
    how you've made my dreams come true
    or how you've opened my heart
    to love and the wonders it can do.

    You've allowed me to experience
    something very hard to find
    unconditional love that exists
    in my body, soul, and mind.

    I don't think you could ever feel
    all the love I have to give
    and I'm sure you'll never realize

    You are an amazing person
    and without you I don't know where I'd be.
    Having you in my life
    completes and fulfills every part of me
