Stop everything, put down your work and silence the radio
Freeze time, in this moment, block out the sun
Quiet the crying and the mourning and be at ease
Still every movement for I have lost my only one
Muffle the television and stop mid laughter
Tell the world of this loss, and of the plight
Break off any connections you may have had
Lock out the arguments, and block out all the fights
Hush the flowing rivers of tears seeping from the stairs
Look away into the shadows where she once smiled
Shoot fireworks of honour, fountain spirits of pain
Memorise the place where I, by her, was beguiled
Stop everything even the gentle whisper of the breeze
Calm the scent of the wilting flowers
Push away all feelings for the world is all but over
Shoot down the minutes, and shatter the hours
*Inspired by W H orden which I heard the first two lines from one of his poems, sorry if it isn't very good*
