Seldom

by katie!   Jun 5, 2005

Seldom do I look up and find a world of unblemished flowers
For I am devoid of the eyes to see something so wonderful
Extract my soul and jettison it to a world so different to ours
Where perhaps the clouds will clear upon a mind so colourful

Stare deep into wonder and absorb my sentiments
Clouds in different shapes trickle over my shallow eyes
Swallow my shadows and sink them deep into memory
Take me away from these bloodwashed walls so I can fly

Listen to the sound, the drum of my black heart
Beating silently yet deafening my bleeding ears
Cleanse me of this self inflicted punishment
Lock me in a tower where I can drown myself in tears

Erode at the barriers tall as the sky but so weak and helpless
They crumble into oblivion behind diamond encrusted pain
Shattered dreams like broken glass under my feet
Seldom does the time come where I smile under the rain
