Pain is Pain

Pain is just pain,
Love is just a word.
Eventually love leads to pain.
There's always a reason why it won't work,
To old, to young, different values.

Why can't love be simple?
I love you; you love me,
So why can't that
Mean everything to you?
Why can't we be?

You say you're too old;
That I'm just too young.
If only I were a few years older.
I say so what? IT feels so right.
You and me were meant for no other.

You won't let me love you,
But love is just a word.
A word that can kill your soul.
You would rather cause me pain.
Pain is just the same, numbing.
