An angel now

One day at the gates of heaven
there came a tiny shout
"hey, God, can you hear me?
open these gates and let me out."

"i need to take a journey,
there`s somewhere i need to go,
i need to see my mommy....
there`s something she needs to know."

"i need to hold her hand in mine,
and tell her not to be afraid,
she`ll get through this all just fine,
even though i`ve gone away."

"she`s lonely, God, and crying,
and don`t know what to do,
i have to let her know God,
that i am safe with you."

"once she knows that i`m okay,
she`ll make it through somehow,
if only i could tell her,
that i`m an angel now!"
