Their Last Kiss

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Jun 6, 2005

"No, I'm sorry, please come
back to me.

You don't understand how
I love you so..."

He left her there, crying
on the floor and walked
out the door.

For days she cried herself
to sleep then realized what
could be done.

She left a note
pleading one last time.

For his love and
forgiveness and his
soft little kiss.

But he shunned her
away.

She turned and left
to give up it all for her
one little love.

' If I can't have
him there is no point
in this lie I live.'

She wrote on her note.

But later he called and called
leaving messages and all.

To beg for her forgiveness and
love and her soft kiss.

When he went to her house
two nights ago,

She wouldn't answer the door.

He saw a shadow in the windows
promising light,

So he walked up the stairs
with promising hope in sight.

He pushed open the door
with a smile on his face.

He was ready to see his true love
run into his arms once again.

But instead he saw, what you all can guess,

His love, on her bed with a
note on her chest.

Bleeding from her wrist,
with crimson spread out on the
page,

And a razor blade in a pool
of blood that dropped from
her fingers on the floor.

Suddenly he realized, that his
knees where on the floor,
and his hands where up to
his face, soggy and wet.

He walked over to her, and
gently touched her shoulder.

'Please wake up... please.'

He sadly cried. That night he
watched her slowly die.

Weeks later as he saw her
being place six feet into the
ground

He said a little prayer to
a god above and cried small
helpless tears because he
knew he was still earth
bound.

He staggered into his room
that night with a bottle in his
hand.

He sloppily wrote a quick note
explaining while he had to go.

Two days later his friend walked
into his house.

She looked up the stairs and saw
a shadow in his room.

She laughed and ran up the stairs
glad that she'd finally see him
after not for three years.

She pushed open the door with
a smile on her face and said,
' Hey there I've...' and saw his
body lying on the bed.

Crimson stained his last few words
and she cried as she read them

' Must this be the end...for us all?
Don't leave me. Please don't leave me...'
moaned his note.

She cried and cried...and stayed
with his body all night.

Weeks later, she staggered into
her room with a bottle in her hands....

I love the idea of this poem, it really shows how one lost loved one can effect someone. Its a really sad poem. P{erhaps stronger words would make it a bit better, maybe it sounds better this way, simple is good sometimes, especially for this poem.
I definatly couldn't write something like this.
