You Are Lost From Me

by shadow walker   Jun 6, 2005

I find my self waking in the night
longing for your touch,
wishing for your voice
to startle me in the dark,
but all I have is the slow realization
that you are lost from me,
and I from you.

I find my self waking in the night
hoping that my dreams were real,
wishing that they come true,
but all I have is the strong disappointment
that you are lost from me,
and I from you.

I find my self waking in the night
praying that it is all a lie,
wishing for your light,
but all I have is this flood of tears
with the knowledge
that you are lost from me ,
and I from you.

I find my self waking in the night
begging for the love
that you gave so freely,
wishing for happiness
that came with it,
but all I have is this suffering thought
that you are lost from me,
and I from you.

I find my self waking in the night
wanting nothing more
than a second chance,
wishing for a change of heart,
but than I remember what you are,
who you’ve become,
you are lost from me,
and I from you.
