Her last kiss

by rbmo401   Jun 6, 2005

Descending into crying eyes
bleeding in the drains of a stained bathroom sink
the pain brightened the day
opened my senses like a needle in my thumb
instant satisfaction foaming from my wrist
flowing
streaming
he painted the room with his own color
eating the concern away from your heart
a single tear falls
She dropped to her knees
a snicker is muttered from her pulsing lips
on the verge of laughter the tear lands silently
like a tree in the woods when no one is around
grasping the fallen hand
denial
sadness
understanding
forgiveness
she dried her eyes and stood
turned
wanting to run
she hesitates
applies a coat of ruby red
one last kiss
a deep breath
a sy of relief
her last goodbye
