She brightens me

As I gulp down the sorrows of yesterdays today
I can appreciate the reflection the water makes on my life
rippling the hard times but calming when the wind has settled
relentlessly calling my inner spirit to venture into the realm of tomorrow
but stuck in the now where the rivers flow up stream and the salmon swim down
my life has filled with brightness now
I've stricken out the darkness and welcomed in the light
she comes dressed in black with death on her brain
bitting my mind into submission
knotting my arms to her, like fishing in the catch of the day
dropping to my knees i pray to myself not to let her go
shes more than i deserve, and I'm speechless
when she moves, my mind swims around in circles of random thoughts
brewing the sanity which will one day intoxicate me dead
she is my dark angel
i write lines of love cause sadness is out of style
like a cheap ad in a ten dollar magazine promoting happiness
i tingle from head to toe in sight of this night goddess
when I think my mind rambles random thoughts
thoughts were you can never escape the ever tying bind
into the realm of unhappiness
but now that the light has blossomed my orchid
reality has caught up with me
turning my insides to a jello pudding
all i want is to feel you
everywhere
in my heart, mind, even soul
you are the lucky charms in my cereal
you make me sane when sanity is lost
you are what keeps me whole.
