Without a Blade I Manage (anti-cutting)

by Nici   Jun 6, 2005

Without a blade I manage to fight my way through life
To struggle on regardless of my pain and all my strife
At times I may feel sad; want to let my tears roam free
But cutting up my wrists would only serve to hurt me

I talk about my problems, call up a close friend
Anything to stop me from starting this new trend
There are many other options, ways that I can cope
The smallest happy moment can give me so much hope

So to all cutters I will say, I hope that you can quit
You are just causing more problems, with each new slit
Think about the hurt and pain your habit brings
Please find another outlet, try some new things!

*I saw so many 'cutting' related poems on this site, that I thought I'd try and write an 'anti-cutting' poem. This was the result.

I'm against cutting and suicide and all that but sometimes talking doesn't help either.
