Blood Running Down Our Backs

You say your back hurts
but what about hers too?
the blood on their backs bleeding through their shirts
it's not just you

yes your's was bad
but you still talk too
of the past friendships you had
of everything you knew

how you hate her
but won't tell it to her face
of what you were
it's a freaking disgrace

we all back stab each other
sharpening our knifes at night
pushing them in deeper and grabbing another
it's boiling into a giant fight

your not the only one who was scarred
you do it too
the truth hitting hard
everyone chocking on their lies, faces turning blue

you lie
say you never said those things
and then you start to cry
all this pain it brings

you say we'll never understand
but i do, I've been through the same sh.it
i make a wild grab for your hand
but i come up with air, i quit

we all hate each other
even though we know in our hearts we need one another

so we try to keep it all together
and smile and laugh
but i know we'll be disconnected forever
