She Finally Got it Right

by Tasha   Jun 7, 2005

She puts the blade back on the shelf
And smiles through her tears
She's finally gotten the picture
After trying for all these years

It took her only a million cuts
And a million scars to match
It gets so deep it doesn't bleed
But it heals as a little scratch

It only took her a million people
Who tried to tell her they cared
They didn't like seeing her this way
She was just so unprepared

It took her only a million tries
To finally get it right
She stopped the self destructing
It took a while, but she won the fight

So if she learns to trust God
And talks to him everyday
He'll keep her from evils tempations
So everything will be okay

She realizes now that she wasn't right
Because cutting is just wrong
It's not a way to solve your problems
And she really knew that all along

It took her a while to get it
But she finally figured it out
God will keep her from the blade
Because he loves her without a doubt

Eager to make this new beginning
She feels so good today
She looks up at the sun
As it washes her fears away.

**Sorry it's sort of short. I made this, because with the help of *Haunted*By*Memories* and OF COURSE, Jesika, I have learned to trust God, and that people care about me. Please comment.**
