PAIN

This pain is so deep
it penetrates my soul
cutting like a knife
a feeling i cant control

i need to find way
to replace this pain i feel
the only way i know
to make it not so real

its like a trade-off
physical pain for emotional pain
seeing the blood drip
like a cold winter rain

instead of feeling the pain
stabbing and cutting at my soul
i feel it on my skin
in this way i have control

because physical pain is temporary
it will go away
but emotional pain is permanent
it torments me every day
