I knelt to pray...

I had no time...
To say all on my mind...
I had to go now...
So I left god behind...
All day long, I had no time...
To spread a word of cheer...
No time to speak of god to friends...

That was my constant cry...
No time to talk....

From God...
I'm drifting away...
I'm getting older...
With suffering i cry...
"God take me to your golden shore"...
At last I found the time to die...
I went before the lord...
I came, I stood with downcast eyes...
For in his hands god held a book...
It was the book of Golden life...
God looked in his book and said...
"Your name I cannot find...
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the TIME"...
