Too young

by *iiM MY MiiND*   Jun 7, 2005

Too young, to live my life
too young, to be a wife
too young, to drive a car
too young, to go to the bar
too young, to be in love
too young, to move above
too young, to be a lady
too young, to have a baby
too young, to have your trust
too young, to know ‘bout lust
too young, to make money
too young, to have a honey
too young, to have the “TALK”
too young, to walk the walk
too young, for you to understand
too young, not ready for a wedding band
too young too young that’s all I hear
but I'm not and that’s what you fear
im gonna make mistakes I got to learn
touch the fire to feel it burn
you want to protect me
from the boys who only want to sex me
trust me to make the right choice
let me use my own voice
just let me go I'll be okay
you will be proud of me someday
maybe not today maybe not tomorrow
I'll learn to fight through the pain and sorrow
I'm not doing this to make you mad
I'm not doing this to make you sad
I'm doing this for me
so I can see
