Could save a life!

by Terri Lynn   Oct 14, 2003

I was playing with the lock
Upon my locker door
When I was suddenly knocked over
By a boy i hadn't seen before

He said "I didn't see you
My books were in the way"
I told him not to worry
I liked sitting better anyway!

He helped me up off the ground
We exchanged our grateful looks
Then both smiling we turned away
To retrieve all the cluttered books

Once we cleaned up the all mess
And the books were in his grasp
He turned to me with tearful eyes
Books fell, my hands he clasped

"i can't tell you how much i thank u"
Tears now running now his face side
"If it wern't for your compassion
Tonight I would have died"

He left me at my locker
I didn't know his name
But i knew that since that moment
I would never be the same

It shows that being friendly
Is a good way to stop the strife
And you may not even know it
But it could save a life
