A small dose of death

by lauren   Jun 9, 2005

Waking up, you're all alone
Don't bother screaming.
No one's home.
Pull the covers over your head.
The thoughts are pleading,
"Why aren't we dead?"
You pull the book from under your bed.
Write the things going through your head.
Write the words you can't say aloud.
Still writing the words that were never allowed.
The tears are wetting the pages,
The process of breaking down in its final stages.
You tried to believe them when they said it'd be okay.
The things that needed to be said,
You could never say.
So why not die tonight.
No one would notice.
No one would care.
Just take this chance.
No time to be scared.
Take the gun and put it in your mouth.
You know which gun I'm talking about.
Choaking on your tears,
So ready but you can't get rid of the fears.
Keep on going,
You're getting so close,
to this small dose of death.
Taking your last breathe of life.
Goodbye everyone. Goodnight.
