Memoirs

by Allexielle   Jun 9, 2005

This is the day I drop everything
To look back on my life
And wonder where went wrong
To see if there is still hope

Somehow, somewhere
I took a wrong turn
Got lost and did not bother
To ask for directions

Walking down memory lane
Brings back old, dull and jaded events
Better left untouched and forgotten
But they linger once dug out

And at this very moment
I’ve just found one memory
I shouldn’t have recalled
You and me

What a tragedy
We have created
Like a cliche
Of some movie script

This is one sad, sad memory globe
I wish I could just throw away
Like a rock into a brook
Because it hurts to remember what slept away.
