Won't Try Again

by †JustAri†   Jun 9, 2005

Beautiful shades of depression are painted
Blending into a world so overrated
He sways on the edge of a forbidden release
He doesn't want this hurt anymore

This silent offense he's made against himself
Because of the promise presented to him
Slipped out of two lying eyes
From a demon in disguise

The lonely silence comforts his conscience
Because he doesn't have to hear anyone's hurtful critisism
Of the mistakes he made and how he handled them
How he tried again and fell on his face

Grimacing to himself and bending his neck
To let his head hang low
Closing his sad eyes, softly he said
"I'll never try for love again".

*Wrote this May 18 and finished the rest today. About the 4th stanza I know it sounds out of the blue and has nothing to do with the rest of the poem, but when he says i'll never try for love again he means to be loved by everyone. I wonder if that has confused anyone so I decided to put this down...Hope you liked it! :) Peace Out, Peace In, Peoples!*
