I never gave you my poem,
I never gave you the chance to break my heart,
I was too weak to risk losing you,
I was too scared to let you know,
I came so close to giving up on us.
I came so close to letting you go,
I still don't know what we are,
I still don't know where we'll be,
I don't understand why this is happening,
I don't get why it has to happen to me,
I know I'm not perfect, no-one is,
I know I have to change but shouldn't you love me for me?
I realise I take many things to heart,
I realise I sometimes don't see,
But,
Do I really deserve this heartache,
Do I really deserve this at all?
