Domino

by Laurence Hill   Jun 9, 2005

Now I lay you down to rest
No aches, no pains, no shortening breath
Angelic, serine as you were in life
No more to fight ‘the good fight’

Your eyes they twinkled, deep and light
Pervading love through terrible sight
The road we walked on long and free
I shall miss the friend I had in thee

Always talking with your smile
We loved to walk many a mile
Through later days a smile or hug
Showed you cared and had such love

Now, today, I sit here all alone
Without your touch, it feels so cold
I hope the place you’ve ascended to
Is full of the love that I have for you

Very well concieved with just the proper amount of emotion comming through.
Your rhyme scheme appears forced throughout the write.
Comma after "fight" in fourth line.
For me your metre/rhythm seemed to go in stanzas three and four.
