I Felt

by Laloser05   Jun 9, 2005

Hold you closely, You here at my side,
I pull you so near, and in your ear, I confide,
I love you, I said, I’m sorry but it’s true,
And you smiled at me and said, Don’t worry, I love you too

I felt the wind on my face for the first time in my life,
I no longer felt sadness or that need for the knife,
The cold one there, in her kitchen draw,
I’m sorry I ever thought it, I’m sorry I ever saw,

A need for its blade, A need for that cut,
Across my arm bleeding, Alone in my life, shut,
Away from it all, the cold slammed in my face,
But I’m here down on earth now, Not in my own space.

You bring me hope, you bring me life,
I don’t have those tears anymore, the strife,
Has gone away now, I’m happy you see,
Do you see what you’ve done, Its just you and me,

I felt the earth beneath my feet, for the first time in my life,
I no longer felt sadness or that for the knife,
The cold one there, in her kitchen draw,
I’m sorry I ever thought it, I’m sorry I ever saw,

A need for its shiver, A need for that cut,
Across my arm bleeding, Alone in my life, shut,
Away from it all, the cold slammed in my face,
But I’m here down on earth now, Not in my own space.

In Honour Of Beff...
Well Written!!!
