In Poets Verse

I open my eyes
The light warms my soul
In poets verse
I feel whole

To take in a breath
Is to breathe at last
From beginnings of thought
And so very long past

And to sing through my heart
Repairs scattered thoughts
In poets verse
For never am I lost

A feeling so deep
Shared with a friend
That never could I
Have ever said

To save the world
From things that are bad
One poets verse
To make happy from sad.
