This place we live

by »*GEORGiE*«   Jun 10, 2005

I don't want to do anything
I don't want to blink
I don't want to worry
what other people think.

I don't want to show
what I don't really feel
I want to do right
and want to be real.

I don't want to wake up
just lie here in silence
so I don't have to live
amongst killing and violence.

I don't want to hear
all those nasty, yet true things
why are people cursing and crude
in all these songs we sing?

I don't want to look at
what my eyes shouldn't see
be tempted to live w/ the world
I want to be happy and free.

I don't want other people
to tell me how I should act
Wear this, do that
none of this is fact.

I don't want to be judged
by people who are weak
They are lost and confused
it is You they should seek.

*I want to love them
like your Son did
when He died on the cross
and paid the price to live.

But help me not join in
with their way of life
and help me to show them
you pull us through, all pain and strife.

And stop all the gross stuff
if any way at all
and I pray everyone will answer
for You already made the call.

Help me face this world
and share your love with them
Come and live in this world
and be Ruler once again.
