Not Quite a Fairy Tale

Once upon a time this story goes,
but it's not a fairy tale that's told.
This is a story of loss and hurt,
a story that people who loved now know.

I wanna tell you about this girl,
who made me happier then I'd ever known.
She took me for one magical ride,
but left me here so alone to die.

So now I lay awake at night,
hoping that no one can hear me cry.
I lay awake and just can't see,
why you don't want to be with me.

To everyone who hears what I say,
