Kisses feel like rain drops falling on your cheeks
They last for seconds, but the feeling lasts for weeks
Sometimes they leave you tingling with love
With all the innocence of a peace bringing white dove

Kisses show those you love just how much you care
They can be in public, or alone when no one’s there
They can just be between friends, to say hello or bye
Sometimes to ease the pain when people see you cry

Kisses can be gentle, simple heart felt small butterflies
Of they can be deception to cover up other’s lies
A kiss can be a symbol to someone of how you truly feel
It can show who someone really is, a kiss can reveal

Kisses can be to say sorry for mistakes made in the past
A kiss can be just one night, or in a relationship that lasts
It could be to your mum just to say happy birthday
Or to a best friend if they are soon going to go away

Kisses are something special, when they are given with love
They can save you from the dark, but at times aren’t enough
The could be for a dare, if you are just playing a game
But even if it’s just for that, the feeling is the same

Kisses can shine a light, on a world to dark and cold
From anyone to another person, both young and old
A kiss can be to say thank you, for helping live your life
A kiss can leave you in sadness, or swimming in delight

Kisses are forever beautiful even just clumsy first times
They can be by accident, if you have misread the signs
They can open your eyes when you were left for dead
They can show more feelings than any words have said

Kisses should be cherished, kept and done with your heart
They should be there to warm you when you are in the dark
