She is a wall

by *HauntedByMemories*   Jun 11, 2005

See that girl sitting in the corner
The one with a plastered smile?
Don’t worry about her leaving
She’ll be there for a while

Go try to confide in her
She’ll stare back at you like a wall
She wont judge or interrupt you
And she’ll listen to you all

She’ll take her gentle hands
And wipe away your tears
She wont laugh or turn you away
She’d listen to you for years

She’ll use her glue to mend your heart
She’ll take away your destruction
She’ll bandage up all your wounds
And she’ll do this without instruction

Don’t worry about hurting her
She has no mouth, only ears
She’ll keep your secrets forever
And she’ll never show any tears

I feel bad for that little girl
She has no one in which to confide
There are many people who say they’re there
But she knows they have all lied
This wall is crumbling fast
But she still listens everyday
Someone has a new problem to tell
As she slowly fades away

Don’t give her a second glance
When you get up and walk away
She’s made you smile, you’re fine now
But you’ll be back another day

And when you come back to the trusting wall
You’ll realize what the world has done
They don’t know how cracked she is
But soon, you’ll know it cant be undone

She continues to destruct herself
Even though she knows its wrong
But everyone else needs her
So she’ll continue to appear strong
