Delirium

by Elizabeth Ann   Jun 11, 2005

~An alarm breaks my surreal contentedness, estranging me to the day.
******************
Channel me…a shallow tide has found me, this clever beach and my stranded paradise.
New akin and not to one man, as no longer dead nor certain have I harbored those forgotten.
Enrolled in this wild, an illusive current marries me to its calm.
And now I savor these, successive freedoms my conscious ridden.
Lightened to this conjured wind has lift me.

I wake from this exclusive dream, heady over rush my inertia kept.
Sly an imagination pressed and now it’s found me…
Dressed in adrenaline at noon crushed…

Proceeding at my beginning subconscious, oft I daydream and to now, bringing undo stress as soon…to fake my wakeful hours forced.

And tomorrow these stolen hours creep…a day off cast my stubborn rest.
