Flying On Dragon's Wing

by wayne t   Jun 11, 2005

Flying high on dragon's wings will take me from the pain,
Of scorned love, tortured by hate, ripped open by her eyes,
That once viewed me with passion, caring that our love was-
The glue that bonded us together for years, melted away,

Like the fire of the dragon, love burned a gaping hole in me,
Passion and affection flowed out leaving me empty, forlorn,
My inner soul revolved around devotion to her, fulfilling every need,
Fire blackened scares are all that remain of my heart and soul,

Conjuring up the dragon shall be an escape, to be reborn, alive,
Revenge is sweet, alas, replenish mind, body, and soul first,
To feel loved, to be desired, to give freely all of me without pain,
Flying on her wings, I shall search endlessly until my life ends,

Mindful of the past, yet eternity will be relentless existing alone,
Soaring on the back of the dragon remembering days of long past,
Beautifully sensuous woman in my arms, passion fully inflamed,
Racing across in the black of night, searching for a glimmer of light,

Fearing all was in vein, a globe of light is reflected in dragon's eyes,
Circling about, she lands silently as not to raise fear in mortal men,
Dismounting and finding a silver haired goddess from my dreams,
Arm in arm we ride on back of my dragon living the future, not the past.
